Program Aide

This is an entry-level position working with adult Individuals with and/or Developmental Disabilities.  Duties include assisting with the implementation of the activities of daily living (ADL) schedule for assigned Individuals. Monitoring and assisting adult Individuals with changing and feeding. Completing daily documentation to track activities. One year experience in the MR/DD field preferred.

Program Assistant

This position monitors and implements the activities of daily living schedule for adult Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  The selected candidate will help design, implement, track and document each assigned Individual’s progress on his/her therapy goals and his/her Plan of Care (POC).  Report, track and document each assigned Individual’s daily, monthly, quarterly and annual progress.  Be responsible for providing information regarding significant changes in all Individuals’ health, behavior and performance to designated staff.  

*Must have at least one year experience in the MR/DD.  BA/BS in Social Sciences or related field required.

Job Coach

Selected candidate will assess, counsel, advocate and train Individuals employment. Accompany an Individual to his/her worksite.  Monitor the Individual to determine their level of comfort and ability to perform their assigned job duties.  Provide travel and other job skills training to Individuals.   

*Must have background in MR/DD.  BA/BS in Social Services or related field is required.

Case Coordinator

Provide consultation to program staff in the development of Individual Program Plans (IPP), progress notes and the development of treatment goals and objectives. Monitor IPPs for all Individuals in the Program. Attend Individuals' Individual Support Plan (ISP) meeting and special reviews in their residential placements and at the Department of Disabilities Administration. Liaise among various members of the Individual’s support team. Assume responsibility for the timely completion and collection of all assigned Individuals' reports and other required documentation.  Case Management experience a plus.

*Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. BA/BS required.

Community Manager

Candidates should be able to videotape and performances.  Research and identify community outings for adults with disabilities.  Prior use & knowledge of stereo equipment, mixers, microphones, cameras, recorders, etc.  Ability to edit footage is a must.  DJ experience preferred.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Pinnacle Liquid, Adobe Creative Suite, Quark Express, Celtx Screenplay Writer, Protools, Final Cut Studio, JVC GYHD200 Pro. Camera, and Mac & PC systems.

Music Therapist

Must have a wide music repertoire, including knowledge and skill sets ethnically diverse instruments.  Write daily, monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports on assigned Individuals. Other duties to be assigned as needed.  Must have experience in music therapy.  

*Bachelors degree is required. Must be CBMT board

Housekeeper

Seeking a candidate who can maintain tile and hardwood cleanliness of the facility. Remove trash on a daily basis and disposes of properly.  Assist with displaying special event decorations and activities. At least two years experience in building maintenance is required.

Art Therapist

The selected creative candidate will provide therapeutic and artistic to adult Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. The Art Therapist will be responsible for planning, designing, developing and conducting art therapy sessions for groups as well as Individuals. The Art Therapist will also be responsible for providing in-service training to staff as requested. Prepare Individuals' art work for display as assigned. Conduct art therapy screening and evaluation as assigned. Write daily, monthly, quarterly and annual progress reports on assigned Individuals. Other duties to be assigned as needed.  

*Must have experience in creative arts therapy.  Must have an M.A. in related field and registered as an Art Therapist. *Must be ATCB board certified.  Must have two years of experience in working with adults with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Certified Fitness Specialist

Seeking a Fitness Instructor to provide healthy supportive fitness services for individual’s with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Fitness Instructor will educate and provide on-going training to assist our Individuals in achieving a healthy lifestyle.  Must be able to create and instruct unique fitness classes based on the Individual’s specific physical need. Must have knowledge of low to high intensity levels of cardio and strength training exercises. Certification as a Personal Trainer is a must. A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred. Experience working with MR/DD population

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Coordinate and provide health care services for Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Creates and maintains the monthly progress notes and medical records for the Individuals.  Provide direct nursing care by monitoring vitals, administering medications, first aid and any other nursing service supported by a physician’s order.  Assist in the training of direct care support staff on the healthcare management plans for Individuals.  

*Must be licensed in Washington, DC as a LPN.

Registered Nurse

Coordinate, provide and direct health care services for Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  Monitor and maintains the monthly progress notes and medical records for the Individuals. Provide direct nursing care by monitoring vitals, administering medications, first aid and any other nursing service supported by a physician’s order.  Ensure controlled medications are secure and properly administered.  Facilitate the training of direct care support staff on the healthcare management plans for Individuals. Supervise the LPNs and other staff assigned to medical unit.  

*Must be licensed in Washington, DC as a RN. Bachelors is required.
